Meet the Engineer
Mack McLaughlin has been involved in audio for over 30 years. His extensive experience in acoustic music includes Mobtown Modern’s contemporary classical music series in Baltimore and his current position as audio engineer for The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus. He has engineered thousands of performances in halls varying from gymnasiums to world class opera houses and spends over 100 days a year on tour. He has worked with artists such as Daryl Worley, Michael Peterson, Slide Hampton, Marvin Hamlisch, Phil Woods, the Long Beach, San Diego, Cincinnati, Syracuse, and Milwaukee Symphonies, the JACK Quartet, and many others.
Mack is a certified Pro Tools engineer in both music and post-production and has attended advanced training from Yamaha, MeyerSound, Shure, and many other manufacturers. He holds degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Troy State University in Aviation and International Affairs, respectively, and is an in-demand audio clinician for high school and military bands.
